    01About these terms

These terms apply when you buy a paid Letter Mysteries case through lettermysteries.com. Letter Mysteries is the public and trading name used for this service. By completing a purchase, you agree to these terms together with the Refund and Cancellation Policy and the Privacy Notice.

Questions about a purchase can be sent to hello@lettermysteries.com. The current postal contact is 25 Grove Court, Worksop, Nottinghamshire, S80 1NY.

Joining the free trial or launch list does not create a paid order. Those signups are covered by the information and consent terms shown at the point of signup.

    02The experience and delivery

The Last Train to Alderwick is a digital six-month mystery experience. A paid route provides six monthly story despatches and the supporting digital case materials described on the site and at checkout.

Delivery takes place through a managed Letter Mysteries account and a private Case Room, with service emails used for invitations, access, receipts, and delivery notices. No physical item is shipped, and the offer does not include postal delivery.

The case is designed to be read in order. Later letters and final proof stay under seal until the relevant scheduled month, including when the purchase has been paid in full.

    03Routes and prices

    Current routes

    • Personal monthly: $14.97 per month for six scheduled payments.
    • Personal prepaid: $74 list price. The automatic 10% reduction saves $7.40, so the one-time price is $66.60 for six monthly despatches. No code is needed.
    • Gift purchase: $74 list price. The automatic 10% reduction saves $7.40, so the one-time price is $66.60 for six monthly despatches for the recipient. No code is needed.

The personal monthly route ends after payment six. It does not continue into a new season automatically. The prepaid and gift routes do not create recurring monthly charges. The prices shown at checkout identify the route and amount being purchased.

Prepayment changes how the case is paid for, not how it is released. A prepaid customer and a gift recipient still receive one complete despatch per month in order.

    04Start dates and access

Every route begins with Month 1 on the chosen start date. The selected date must be 1 October 2026 or later. The next five despatches follow monthly, in order.

Personal customers choose their date during the purchase flow. A gift recipient chooses the Month 1 date after using the invitation, creating or signing into the managed account with the invited email, and claiming the gift. The recipient pays nothing for a gift that has already been paid for.

Case Room access is connected to the active six-month Season One experience. It is intended to run through Month 6 and is not a permanent archive by default. No catch-up route or early release of later material is included unless Letter Mysteries expressly says otherwise.

    05Gift purchases

A gift buyer pays $66.60 once. The $74 list price is reduced automatically by 10%, saving $7.40; no code is needed. The buyer then supplies the recipient’s name and email, the sender name, and any optional message through the private post-payment handoff.

Letter Mysteries sends an invitation to the supplied recipient email. The recipient must create or sign into the managed Letter Mysteries account using that invited email address. This matching step protects the private gift and prevents the same purchase from being connected to another account.

The buyer is responsible for checking the recipient details before saving them. If an invitation is sent to the wrong address or does not arrive, contact hello@lettermysteries.com with the order information so we can investigate.

    06Account responsibility and permitted use

You must provide accurate information, keep access to your email, and take reasonable care of your managed account. Please do not share account credentials, private invitation links, Case Room access, or unreleased case material with someone who is not entitled to use them.

Letter Mysteries gives the purchaser, or the invited gift recipient, a personal, limited right to access and read the purchased case during the active experience. The letters, evidence, artwork, maps, downloads, and Case Room presentation remain Letter Mysteries materials.

You may print and keep materials for your own use. You may not resell, publicly upload, reproduce for a group or commercial service, distribute private links, or publish later-story material in a way that spoils or replaces the experience for others.

    07Service communications

We may email you about payment confirmation, account setup, gift invitations, monthly access, delivery, support, security, or changes that affect your purchase. These are service messages needed to operate the case and are separate from optional launch or marketing updates.

You are responsible for using an email address you can access and for checking spam or filtered folders when waiting for an invitation or service message. Contact us if a message or Case Room access is missing.

    08Changes and interruptions

We may correct errors, update the presentation, maintain the Case Room, or make changes needed to keep the service secure. We will try to give reasonable notice where a planned change materially affects access to an active purchase.

Online services can experience interruptions, delayed email, or temporary access problems. If that happens, email hello@lettermysteries.com and include the account email or order details. We will investigate and work to restore the promised digital access.

    09Refunds, consumer rights, and contact

Refund and monthly cancellation requests are handled under the Refund and Cancellation Policy. The policy explains the point before which a refund can be requested and the deadline for stopping a future monthly charge.

Nothing in these terms removes or limits consumer rights that the law says cannot be removed or limited. If a term conflicts with a legally required right, that right applies.
